NOVEMBER 2010

November 01, 2010

How time slips away.  It’s amazing how much can happen in such a short time.  Between trying to find a kidney for my father (not the easiest task), having a horrible stomach infection for weeks, taking a vacation to San Diego and another to New Jersey and Wisconsin, and moving (ugh), it’s been difficult to find a minute! (p.s…if you ever get the opportunity to take a bi-plane ride over the coast, I highly recommend it!).  But the vacations were a blast, and I LOVE our new place (private rooftop deck with a gorgeous view, anyone?)!!

In career-related news, I finally got my SAG card.  It’s a huge milestone for me, and although it was a lot of red tape and hassle, it feels good to be ‘official’.  Now I just need to start booking some good gigs…

I’ve had a few auditions here and there -- about six in August, only one in September, and a couple in October.  They were mostly for short films and webisodes, but one was a pilot, which I did get.  I believe my scenes shoot in the next couple of weeks.  And on Sunday, I’m shooting a short as a run-though for a project called 52 Films/52 Weeks – A Year of Filmmaking that will start in January.  I will also be auditioning for a number of one-act plays that will be performed at the Alliance Repertory Company in January…I’m looking forward to getting back on stage!

Live in LA? You must come to our show! I'm performing with the Alliance Repertory Company for ONE NIGHT ONLY on December 4th in the play "The Eight: Reindeer Monologues". (I'll be playing Blitzen.) This is a fantastic play, and definitely NOT your typical holiday production....go to www.alliancerepertory.org to get your tickets - they're selling fast (and include drinks and hors d'oeuvres)!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
