JULY 2009

Yikes, it's been too long! I'll try to be better with updates...

I've been taking more workshops - Amy Reece and Brooke Davis, Marnie Saitta (loved her) and currently taking one with Jennifer Lurey. I'm finding them to be very helpful and insightful; it's so interesting to hear the different perspective from various casting directors. What some like, other hate, and vice versa. In the end, it really comes down to you, the actor, and what feels right for you.

Alliance Repertory Company
I recently joined the Alliance Repertory Company, which is very exciting! It's been a loooong time since I've performed live (even counting singing in the band when I was back in Wisconsin...seems like forever ago...!). We're doing a staged reading this Sunday called Shrunken Heads as a 'welcome back' and fundraising event (Alliance has been around for many, many years but just getting back to performances after a bit of a hiatus). I will be playing the part of Jennifer Todhunter Hyde. Check out the details on the website, and feel free to donate to the company even if you can't make the show...!

A lot of the work I've been doing over the last couple of years should start to surface in the near future (I hope!). From what I've heard from writer/producer Michael King, post-production on The Missing Link has been going well, and we should be seeing a trailer soon. I came across this photo from the website of Markus Innocenti, who directed the film...Muff and Grog in action!

Unwelcome Strangers, the first film I did when I moved to L.A., is reportedly finished! We're supposed to have a cast and crew screening soon (although I think I am finally understanding that in Hollywood lingo, "soon" usually means "a few months"!). Here are a couple of photos from that shoot...
