Happy New Year!

New year, new goals...
New year, new expectations...
New year, new opportunities.

I look forward to the new. I look forward to change. I like waking up and reminding myself that it's a new day, with entirely new possibilities and new opportunities. Cliche as it may sound, sometimes it's easy -- too easy -- to get stuck in the monotony, expecting the same and therefore receiving the same. So the new year is a good thing for me. A clean slate with an open heart, mind and soul.

I went to a free intro class by Caryn West this weekend that left me invigorated. Motivated! It's a feeling I've been missing for a while...and I sense this is my first real change of the year. Thanks to my awesome husband, I'll be taking Caryn's Audition Intensive series in February for four weeks. I'm in the perfect frame of mind for soaking in new ideas and learning how to butt-breathe. (yup, it's a thing)

In December, I performed as Blitzen in The Eight: Reindeer Monologues for four weekends at The Complex in Hollywood with the Alliance Repertory Company. The show was a great success and a lot of fun. (Thank you to everyone who came out to support us - I don't forget these things!!) Although we had performed this play a couple of other years, this was the first year where we had a multi-show run. It makes a huge difference from an acting persepctive, and I loved the opportunity to tweak each performance.

Coming up, I've been cast in a film called Excess Baggage, directed by and starring my friend Brad Hills. I'll be playing a supporting role, and filming will start in March. Can't wait to get in front of the camera again!
